International Economics
Since its inception in the 1940s, including an active role in the creation of the Marshall Plan and the Bretton Woods institutions, CED has consistently supported open markets with institutions and strategies that recognize, facilitate, and manage growing interdependence within a global economy.  In recent years, CED’s work has concentrated on trade, finance, and global poverty.  The most recent policy statement, Reducing Risk from Global Imbalances, focuses on problems of persistent imbalances in the global economy.  Together, CED studies help show the way to a more robust global economy and higher living standards worldwide.
