Susan Gates, National Director, America’s Edge moderated a thought-provoking panel of unexpected messengers. The panelists Lieutenant General Robert J. Winglass, US Marine Corps (Ret.) & Executive Advisory Council Member, Mission: Readiness – Military Leaders for Kids; and Richard McNally, District Attorney, Renn County, discussed how investments in early care and education impact crime reduction and national security.

The goal of this forum was to raise awareness among New York business and legislative leaders of the benefits of investing in early education and encourage them to improve state policies and participate in designing locally sustainable solutions. After the event, several speakers accompanied Winning Beginning NY advocates on meetings with state legislators and their staffers.
